Long story - About me:

As a scientist, engineer, and experimentalist, I specialize in merging quantitative analysis with ecological and Indigenous frameworks to tackle complex challenges. My career spans fieldwork, laboratory experiments, and scientific communication, focusing on ecosystem design, environmental restoration, and traditional ecological knowledge.
Highlights of my expertise include:
  • Designing interdisciplinary curricula that integrate engineering with Indigenous epistemologies.
  • Conducting research in hydrodynamics, bioacoustics, and aquatic architecture.
  • Leading collaborative initiatives across federal, tribal, and academic sectors, emphasizing community engagement and data sovereignty.
  • Publishing peer-reviewed research and delivering invited talks on conservation, rewilding, and ecological engineering.
With a robust skillset in GIS, photogrammetry, and computational modeling, I’ve applied these tools to study beaver damming complexes, grassland bird populations, and other ecosystem engineers. Educated initially as a mechanical engineer, I bring practical skills to complement my analytical skills.
I’m passionate about fostering partnerships that bridge science, traditional knowledge, and engineering to drive sustainable solutions for communities and ecosystems.
