I spent the Fall semester of 2017 participating in the How to Make (Almost) Anything course at MIT. It was a crash course in the building. You can check out what I built here.
I built a tank, a Pegasus shelving unit, scanned waterways, and programmed micro-processors.

I was invited to give a talk on the status of Native American Studies at Harvard University. My field work is conducted on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in northwestern Montana. Conducting field work is always challenging. When working on reservations the permissions and manner in which a scientist must pursue a research project is very different. There are a multitude of ethical considerations along with logistical considerations that make working on Indigenous land unique.
I find skulls in the prairie and then I bead them. I found this cow skull in a beaver pond. Her skull was stained a light brown and that I thought was fabulous. I found this horse skull in some tall grass in a shallow ravine. It was a tough winter and he didn't make it. I nearly drove over his skull with my ATV.
