Indigenous Studies

I was invited to give a talk on the status of Native American Studies at Harvard University.  My field work is conducted on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in northwestern Montana.  Conducting field work is always challenging.  When working on reservations the permissions and manner in which a scientist must pursue a research project is very different.  There are a multitude of ethical considerations along with logistical considerations that make working on Indigenous land unique.
